![]() ![]() I really wanted the yuzu note to sparkle. The Dossier version is a nice generic warm light floral, but with no 'pop' or 'wow' factor. I haven't tried the Bright Crystal, however. I'll be unloading this as fast as possible.ĭossier Fruity Magnolia (Versace Bright Crystal dupe): Versace's original Crystal Noir is one of my all-time faves for a 'remember me tomorrow' scent. I know the original is a love/hate scent, but all I can say is don't blind buy this from Dossier. Like needles stabbing me inside the nose. Something in this, and in several of the heavier TF scents, induces insta-headaches and mild nausea for me.ĭossier Oriental Sage (TF F*cking Fabulous dupe): Aahhrg! Whoa, this is a SHARP scent. Oddly, my daughter also snagged this one, and I'm hoping she decides to give it away. ![]() Sadly for me, and probably happily for someone else, this matches the TF original's projection and staying power. It doesn't help that I'm not a patchouli fan. I could never wear this, and it is so overpowering for me I couldn't even pick out the differences from the original. My daughter laid claim to it on first sniff.ĭossier Spicy Vanilla (TF Noir): Some TF perfumes just overwhelm my nose, and Noir is one of them. It isn't a big projector, and settles down next my skin very quickly. It was pleasant, and reminded me most of a very sophisticated grownup take on an orange creamscicle. Still this is almost immediately a skin scent, but so is the TF at a kajillion times the price.ĭossier Floriental Marshmallow (Kilian Love, Don't Be Shy dupe): I can't speak to its quality as a dupe, not having tried the original, but this was a tad too powdery for me. I'll definitely be wearing this on hot summer days. The Dossier is the same scent profile, but a bit heavier on the citrus with slightly better staying power. Also, it overwhelmingly reminded me of the tiny bottle of 4711 Original Eau de Cologne my German godmother sent me when I was 10. All versions make me feel like I'm lounging on a leather sofa in a room- sized cigar humidor reading an old book and sipping scotch and all versions LAST.ĭossier Citrus Neroli (TF Neroli Portofino dupe): I liked the TF, but I thought the lasting power sucked. My sample of Oakcha's version was also excellent. Unofficial dupe Velvet Teddy (MAC) has been my go-to, but the Dossier edition is lovely and a bit truer to the sweetness of the original. Here are my thoughts on the Dossier scents:ĭossier Oriental Tobacco (TF Tobacco Vanille dupe): To be honest, I love all the dupes of this perfume as much as the original. Layered Montale Chocolate Greedy and Atelier Orange Sanguine TF Lost Cherry (and Oakcha's dupe Sinful) Dossier has both a Lost Cherry & a Tobacco Vanille dupe that I have been eying. I couldn't justify paying Tom Ford prices for a perfume without staying power. I generally buy originals, but picked up a bottle of Oakcha Sinful (Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe) last year. I haven't tried Dossier before, so this buy seemed like a no-brainer. The Official r/fragrance WIKI - a great knowledgebase of perfume stuff. POPULAR/COMMON TOPICS 6.Looking for r/fragrance reviews?
